Wednesday 21 Jan #2 – Tour Diary
What does it mean to be the only Western Australia on tour?I am honoured to be the only West Australia on tour, it doesn’t get much better than being able to play for your country. Touch Football Australia would like to thank Zoe for answering some questions to give the Touch Football community back home an update of what has been happening on the Tour. Give us a rundown of your day?Today we had a rest day, it started with a coffee with Nikki at a nearby cafe then we headed to the grocery store to do the team food shop with our manager & Baartzy. After that I went shopping with Hayley & Cobie-Jane. In the afternoon we headed to the hot pools to loosen up the legs which was amazing then finished the day off with pizza and pasta at a nearby restaurant with the Men’s and Women’s teams. How is the team shaping up for the 2010 Trans Tasman? The team is very calm and ready to go. We have done all the homework, it a good feeling and everyone cant wait to get out there. What is the Atmosphere like in the team? The team atmosphere is awesome, this is one of the most tightest teams you could get, everyone would do anything for each other. Did you bring anything with you to make it feel more like home? No.After beating the world champions 3-0 in Wollongong, are you confident in replicating the teams performance away from home?I am confident that our team will go out there and play out hearts out. We are one step ahead now and know each others game like the back of our hands, even away from home.
