The Ladyjacks took the second round by a final score of 1,087-1,000, forcing a Best-of-Seven series against the previously unbeaten McKendree squad. Samantha Gainor finished up the Traditional contest with 207 pins, joining Bulanova as the lone Commodores to score above the 200-pin mark. Austin did not disappoint as the meeting was forced to game five of the Baker Best-of-Seven. SFA took the Traditional game by 105 pins as all five Ladyjack competitors registered scores above the 200 mark. Dakotah Hazlewood erupted for 277 to begin up her day. The Bearkats were boosted in part by a 248 in the three-spot, before securing the round two win with back-to-back scores of 191. Emily Rigney was entered on the lineup in place of Kristin Quah, which seemingly sparked the Vanderbilt squad. Rigney led her team with 230 pins in the Traditional matchup, pushing the Commodores to a 995-944 victory. Bea Hernandez Sam Houston State vs. Maryland Eastern ShoreWith elimination on the line, Sam Houston State and Maryland Eastern Shore (MES) met in the eighth and final match of the day. Madysen Keller opened up the contest on a high note for the Bearkats scoring 210 of Sam Houston State’s 897 pins in the Traditional match. Austin claimed the opening two games of the Best-of-Seven series. McKendree refused to go down without a fight, however, responding with three consecutive victories. The Commodores found themselves on the losing end of a 1,027-968 Traditional game performance. Denisyha Richard (206) and Destiny Truly (200) also registered a pin count at or above 200 in the same round. However, the feats were not enough as Nebraska edged out the Red Wolves 996-969. Vandy then climbed back to edge out Sacred Heart by 10 pins (1,037-1,027) in the Baker contest, forcing a Best-of-Seven round. Austin and Vanderbilt stand as the two Southland Bowling League members to advance into round three action. Through two rounds, Stephen F. Austin holds a perfect 2-0 record, winning both of its opening day matches in Baker Best-of-Seven rounds. Vanderbilt rebounded from a game one loss, in order to win in its second matchup of the day.  The Ladyjacks opened up their stay in Wickliffe with a 2-1 win over Sam Houston State in Thursday’s morning session. SFA followed suit with another narrow 2-1 victory over McKendree that was decided in the final game of the Best-of-Seven round.After falling 2-1 to Sacred Heart in their opening contest, Vanderbilt stormed back for a 2-0 victory over Arkansas State.
